Job summary

Baker Hughes Internship Program invites students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree to gain hands-on experience in procurement and supplier management within a global energy company. The program provides focused training, mentorship, and exposure to projects that drive value.

Interns evaluate suppliers, support relationship management, assist with purchase orders and inventory, and apply HS&E standards while collaborating across teams to meet quality, cost, and delivery goals.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Engineering, Technology, Mechanics, or other STEM-related or business-related field.
• Maintain GPA >= 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).
• Fluent in spoken and written English with effective communication skills.
• Must be able to relocate for the duration of the internship (locations vary).
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating in evaluating and assessing potential suppliers and vendors to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
• Supporting relationship management with existing suppliers, including communication, performance evaluations, and issue resolution.
• Assisting in managing inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of critical materials and minimize excess inventory costs.
• Supporting creation, processing, and tracking of purchase orders for materials and services.
• Applying HS&E standards and procedures to ensure compliance.
