Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. offers a Global Sourcing Internship within our Technology & Manufacturing group. Interns work on challenging projects, gain exposure to upper management, and pursue full-time opportunities as available.

Responsibilities include supporting commodity leaders, maintaining dashboards, and driving cost reduction initiatives using Lean principles, while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Computer Science, or Industrial Engineering; minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and data analytics tools including Excel, Power BI, Power Query.
• Strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, and analytical/problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Global Sourcing Commodity Leaders in achieving objectives and developing sourcing expertise.
• Support the Global Sourcing management team with weekly reporting metrics and dashboards.
• Assist in integrating global best practices and standardized operating processes.
• Collaborate with Technology & Manufacturing to identify process improvements using Lean methods.

Description

Skyworks' Internship Program is designed for college students currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program.Skyworks offers real work experience, exposure to upper management, and the opportunity to pursue full-time opportunities, as available.

Skyworks' Global Sourcing Internships are offered in our Technology & Manufacturing (TMG) business group. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Global Sourcing Commodity Leaders in achieving sourcing objectives for assigned commodities while developing functional sourcing expertise.
• Support the Global Sourcing management team with the preparation and maintenance of weekly reporting metrics and performance dashboards.
• Assist in integrating global best practices and standardized operating processes
• Collaborate with Technology & Manufacturing teams to identify and implement process improvement opportunities utilizing Lean principles and continuous improvement tools.
• Create, update, and maintain sourcing and procurement work instructions, procedures, and process documentation.
• Conduct spend analysis, supplier research, and data collection to support sourcing initiatives.
• Support cross-functional teams in executing cost reduction, productivity, and supplier performance improvement initiatives.
• Maintain sourcing databases and ensure data accuracy across procurement systems.

Required Experience and Skills

• Currently pursuing a BS in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Project management coursework/experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data analytics tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Power Query.
• Self-Starter with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and a works effectively on a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Desired Experience and Skills

• Experience with SAP preferred

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $29.00 - $49.00 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $23.00 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
