Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a senior leader to head Sourcing Enablement & Delivery, building teams, systems, and partnerships to enable sourcing and contracting at scale. You will partner with GTM, Sales, and Partnerships to drive commercial growth and AI-enabled procurement capabilities.

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Sourcing, you will manage delivery and contract management leaders, shaping priorities and success metrics for this new function.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, vendor management, or commercial leadership.
• Strong judgment about supplier choices, negotiations, contracts, and risk.
• Experience building or transforming procurement capabilities during rapid growth or change.
• Proven track record managing managers and developing high-performing teams.
• Collaboration with marketing, sales, or commercial teams to deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the organization, hire and develop managers, coach performance, and ensure succession planning.
• Own sourcing enablement and delivery operations, set service commitments and quality standards.
• Lead the sourcing operating rhythm with demand, priorities, and capacity planning.
• Strengthen contracting with Legal and Compliance, improving templates and playbooks.
• Lead RACI development and define decision rights across procurement and partners.
• Create mechanisms to bring sourcing into early decisions and ensure visibility.
• Build AI-enabled ways of working and ensure adoption and measurable outcomes.
