Job summary

Town & Country Living in New York is seeking a Sourcing Coordinator to provide complex administrative support to the Sourcing department. You will liaise with overseas offices and factories to secure competitive costs and ensure timing aligns with customer requirements.

You will partner with Sales, Design, and Planning on deadlines, rolling changes, and product development, from sample orders to final receipt in NYC, including packaging considerations and capacity planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of sourcing experience with overseas vendors in a large volume wholesale or retail business.
• Excellent costing and negotiating skills; able to work with large Excel datasets.
• Strong understanding of trade regulations, production timelines, and logistics.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with internal teams and overseas partners.

Responsibilities

• Daily communication with overseas offices and agents, attending calls on China/India timings.
• Collaborate with Sales on product requirements, target costs, forecasts, and cost optimization with overseas factories.
• Incorporate costs into target prices including packaging, testing, and quality requirements for customers.
• Evaluate costing for repeat SKUs and monitor global market conditions, raw materials, and currency fluctuations.
• Coordinate with Sales/Planning on replenishment deadlines and rolling changes; track rollout orders.
• Work with Design/PD on product/sample development, running changes, and ensure receipt in NYC.
• Collaborate with Packaging to ensure packaging is available at costing requests.
• Analyze factory capacity plans to ensure order availability and manage reorders.
• Participate in weekly development and production meetings for all customers.

The Sourcing Coordinator provides complex administrative support to the Sourcing department.

The Sourcing Coordinator provides complex administrative support to the Sourcing department.

Requirements

• Daily communication with overseas offices and agents. Should be available to attend calls on China/India timings.


• Work with sales on product requirements, target costs, forecast and work with overseas factories to get competitive cost with the appropriate country/factory, based on customer requirements.


• Cost engineer into target price ensuring accuracy that costs reflect packaging/ testing/quality requirements of the customer before passing to sales and entering PLM.


• Evaluate costing for repeat SKUs on a regular basis for any benefit from global market conditions, raw material and currency fluctuation.


• Work with Sales/planning team on deadlines on replenishment/running changes for production. Track/manage roll out orders.


• Work in close collaboration with Design/PD on product/sample development follow ups, running changes, deadlines. Follow through from sample order to receipt in NYC.


• Coordinate with Packaging department to ensure packaging is available at time of costing requests.


• Analyze overall factory plans to ensure capacities are available for all orders and reorders.


• Participate in weekly development and production meetings for all customers.

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree with 8yrs of sourcing experience working with overseas vendors at a large volume wholesale or retail business.


• 2-3 years of experience in Home Textiles or Apparel preferred


• Experienced in Home Textiles - Kitchen Towels, Placemats, Runners, Chairpads, Pillows, Bath, Mats, Rugs, Pet Beds.


• Experienced working with Walmart/Sams, Costco, TJX Brands, strong understanding of costing, timelines and requirements.
