Job summary

The University of New Mexico is seeking a Sound and Lighting Assistant to support the Technical Stage Manager and Production Manager in Theatre and Dance. This student employment role covers pre-production tasks such as hang, focus, build and load-in, and follows through during the production run.

Responsibilities include assisting with show run requirements, strike, and special projects for the department, with direction tailored to a work-study schedule.

Qualifications

• Student employment eligible.
• Completion of TH192 and TH196.
• Experience or knowledge in stage lighting and sound is a plus.

Position Summary

The Sound and Light Assistant will assist the Technical

• Knowledge of QLab
• Knowledge of Yamaha Digital and Analogue SoundConsoles
• Basic Rigging Skills and an awareness of Safety
