Job summary

Goodwill Industries Of Dallas seeks an entry level Team Associate in Allen, TX 75002 to sort donated textiles, stock non-sellable back stock, and keep the production area clean and safe. You must wear a name badge and follow the dress code while supporting daily operations.

Ideal candidates stand for long periods, read/write/speak English, and perform duties with care in a fast-paced retail setting. Prior stock handling is preferred but not required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

• 1. Sort donated textile and place non-sellable items into outlet containers.
• 2. Sort donated textile and place non-seasonal back stock items in company provided back stock boxes.
• 3. Keep production area clean, neat, and safe.
• 4. Maintain well-groomed appearance and appropriate dress code including name badge.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

• 1. Responsible for performing their assigned duties within the framework of our Core Principles
• 2. Attend in-service and related training as assigned by Team Leader.
• 3. Perform other duties assigned by the Team Lead or Production Lead.

Education and/or Experience: Previous retail and/or stack handling experience is preferred.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• 1. Regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• 2. Vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• 3. Standing and walking for long periods of time
• 4. Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push, and pull.
• 5. Sufficient mobility to turn from side to side and the ability to lean and remove items from containers.
• 6. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic).
