DCG ONE in Upper Marlboro, MD is hiring a Sorter Helper for the 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM or 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM shift. Earn a $1,000 sign-on bonus after 120 days. You will learn on inkjet and inserting equipment and join a growing team in print and mail production.

This role involves sorting mail, operating strapping machines, reading postal docs, moving mail with a pallet jack, and helping operators. A Public Trust clearance is required; prior mail sorting is preferred.

Formación

In addition to competitive pay and applicable sign-on bonuses, employees on qualifying second- or third-shift schedules are eligible for shift differential premiums, which provide additional earnings for off-shift work.

The Sorter Helper sorts mail in a variety of classifications as it is processed on inkjet and inserting equipment. The position requires an understanding of USPS regulations and some experience operating machinery. This is a great position for anyone looking to learn new skills and join a quickly growing team.

Note: This position requires the ability to complete and pass a Public Trust Security Clearance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or stand for long periods of time. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position works on the production floor in an industrial warehouse setting.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
