Job summary

Purolator Inc. is hiring an AM Sorter in Charlottetown, PE. The role involves sorting freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet delivery schedules. You will unload and load freight from trucks, operate conveyors, and pre-load mail into curbside delivery vehicles.

The position calls for physical tasks and precise attention to detail within a warehouse setting. Shift is Monday to Friday, 5:00am to 8:30am (17.5 hours/week). Pay rate is 19.28 CAD/hour.

Responsibilities

• Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks
• Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out
• Loads freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailer
• Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles
• Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items
• Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packaged mail or packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery
