Job summary

Ascension Living in Hoffman Estates, IL is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist for maternal medicine. The role performs ultrasound procedures, manages equipment, and ensures high-quality image submission to PACS while adhering to safety standards.

Minimum licensure includes BLS and ARRT/ARDMS credentials with a preference for Fetal Echo. Part-time, dayshift schedule available, with compensation per hour and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider required within 30 days of hire; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• ARRT Sonography credentialed within 12 months of hire date.
• ARDMS credentialed within 12 months of hire date.
• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical certificate/degree required.
• Fetal Echo certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex ultrasound procedures to examine tissue and body structures, recognizing significant anatomy, pathology, artifacts, and equipment limitations.
• Configure and manually maneuver ultrasound equipment, monitor functionality, report malfunctions, and implement lockout/tagout procedures as needed.
• Implement safety standards and quality control measures; submit high-quality images and patient history to PACS in full regulatory compliance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized clinical environment; keep procedure rooms and storage areas orderly.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical certificate/degree required.

What Additional Preferences We're Seeking

• Fetal Echo certification strongly preferred.
