Job summary

Center Education Group seeks a Sonography Instructor to maintain program goals, prepare and deliver lectures, supervise lab and clinical sessions, and evaluate student progress while collaborating with program leadership to elevate the educational experience.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree, at least 2 years full-time Diagnostic Medical Sonography experience, and current registry or certification from a national credentialing agency; BLS or ACLS may be required, and teaching

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required for teaching diagnostic sonography.
• Current registration/certification from a national sonography credentialing agency; specialty certifications preferred.
• BLS or ACLS certification may be required.
• Minimum 2 years full-time experience in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Teaching or training experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and executes didactic applications effectively.
• Supervises and instructs students during lab, clinical and didactic sessions.
• Ensures proper skill instruction and evaluates students’ progress in all settings.
• Monitors student attendance across all applications.
• Generates oral or written reports for all students.
• Maintains accurate records of students’ performance and activities during skill sessions.
• Ensures proper supervision of students during skill practice sessions.
• Acts as a positive role model for students.
• Brings issues or concerns to the immediate supervisor’s attention.
• Acts as an objective evaluator during skill examinations and evaluations.
• Collaborates with the program director to periodically review and revise course materials.
• Ensures student compliance with program policies and guidelines.
• Pursues continuous professional development to stay current with the professional discipline and educational methodologies.
• Collaborates with the program director to integrate updated knowledge into the curriculum.
• Maintains open communication and addresses challenges promptly.
