RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Vascular Technologist to join our team. As a Vascular Technologist, you will be responsible for noninvasive diagnostic peripheral artery and venous testing and provide patient care through assessment, physical evaluation and implementation of exam procedures. This is a casual/PRN position working various day shifts, flexible schedule.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(85%) Vascular Non‑invasive Testing
- Conduct individualized patient assessment regarding ordered vascular procedures.
- Work closely with the clinical team performing various complex exams including upper and lower extremity arterial and venous studies, venous insufficiency/vein mapping, ankle‑brachial indices (ABI), skin perfusion, air plethysmography, renal and visceral duplex, and hemodialysis access.
- Screen patients before exam for any precautions or contraindications.
- Obtain and review the requisition for examination to be aware of procedure requested, clinical history, patient condition, or any other special requirements.
- Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic information.
- Use independent judgment during the exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings.
- Independently initiate additional ultrasound imaging procedures to facilitate optimum diagnostic results (e.g., endovaginal exam, Doppler).
- Synthesize and analyze exam information and communicate findings to the appropriate provider.
- Maintain positive attitude and working relationships with radiologists, referring offices, and peers.
- Converse with doctors, nurses, patients, and family members as required.
- Accurately maintain patient records within defined systems.
- Provide the interpreting provider with an oral or written summary of technical findings.
- Identify problems, secure relevant data, generate alternative courses of action and possible consequences.
- Assist with the daily operations of the vascular laboratory.
- Maintain an orderly and clean work area promoting good safety habits.
(10%) Operational Support
- Demonstrate competency in the use of all departmental computers and diagnostic equipment.
- Demonstrate proficiency in departmental documentation practices and clerical functions.
- Show care of the vascular lab equipment and environment of care.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement activities.
- Assist with training new associates, providing resource and technical expertise.
- Establish and maintain ethical working relationships and good rapport with all interrelating partners and referring providers.
- Help supervisor gain support for unit goals and plans.
(5%) Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
- Active certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in the specialty as appropriate.
- Current advanced registry in Vascular Sonography.
Preferred
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- Intraoperative experience.

Pay range: $31.65 – $51.29 based on direct and relevant experience. DailyPay implementation is contingent upon initial set‑up period.
