Job summary

Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital in Rhinelander, WI is seeking a SONOGRAPHER to join our VASCULAR/ECHO team. The Ultrasound Technologist performs complex imaging procedures and provides diagnostic information to aid final interpretation.

Coverage areas may include Rhinelander, Eagle River, and Tomahawk. Requires JRCERT accreditation, ARDMS, and CPR; 1+ year ultrasound experience preferred. Includes full benefits and PTO from day one.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRCERT).
• One or more years of clinical ultrasound experience preferred.
• ARDMS certification and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures with high-quality imaging for radiologist review.
• Communicates findings and collaborates with providers, nurses, and clinic staff.
• Ensures accurate patient information on images, requisitions, and PACS; delivers completed exams.
• Notifies necessary personnel of equipment issues and maintains equipment in good working order.
• Loads and rotates inventory, performs quality control tests, and documents results.

Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital in Rhinelander, WI is seeking a SONOGRAPHER to join our VASCULAR/ECHO team!

• Coverage areas may include Rhinelander, Eagle River, and Tomahawk

The Ultrasound Technologist performs complex imaging procedures while exercising professional judgment in the performance of services. Demonstrates the ability to obtain high quality diagnostic images and analyze the findings. Provides the radiologist or ordering provider with diagnostic evidence along with pertinent clinical information, in order for a final diagnosis to be made.

• Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures demonstrating quality images for radiologist or ordering provider review. Contributing technical, professional knowledge and observation to aid in the final diagnostic impression when necessary.
• Communicates with providers, nurses, and clinic staff.
• Assumes responsibility for accurate patient information on all images, radiology requisitions and in the PACS. Delivers completed exams.
• Notifies appropriate personnel of equipment malfunctions and needed repairs. Ensures necessary maintenance and repairs are completed in an efficient and timely manner.
• Demonstrates knowledge of test standards to adequately perform quality control tests on assigned equipment. Records and reports results to appropriate personnel.
• Maintains necessary inventory/equipment in ultrasound area. Rotates stock often to eliminate outdated items.

HOURS: Occasional based on applicant availability

Experience/Qualifications

• Knowledge of standards and procedures as they relate to ultrasound normally acquired through graduation from a program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• One or more years of clinical ultrasound experience is preferred but not required.
• ARDMS
• Current CPR certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training through independent study, manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable CPR training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.
• Site specific competencies in protocols, equipment, computer systems and applications.
