*Responsibilities*

Performs diagnostic and vascular procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structures. Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures, and addresses patient concerns. Responsible for maintaining patient records and files. Performs all ultrasound techniques and examinations, including abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, limited obstetric and gynecological scans, and tests such as carotid imaging, peripheral plethysmography, Doppler waveform, segmental pressure, venous imaging, and thoracic outlet studies.

*Essential Functions:*

  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care.
  • Performs procedures ensuring quality patient care according to Radiologist’s expectations and protocols.
  • Displays knowledge and compliance with the National Patient Safety goals.
  • Supports and reports any compliance issues.
  • Participates in hospital and department quality assurance programs.
  • Maintains professional development and technical competency.
  • Uses standard precautions and PPE at all times.
  • Maintains regulatory compliance and licensure.
  • Attends all required educational programs and modules.
  • Contributes to departmental efficiency and resource utilization.
  • Demonstrates complete working knowledge of equipment within the assigned area.
  • Understands and performs according to the Code of Conduct Standards.
