Job summary

Qualifications

• RDMS certification or equivalent preferred.
• Associate degree or trade school training required or equivalent.
• Up to two years of experience preferred but not required.

Job description

The Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, small parts, obstetrical, and vascular imaging, to support diagnosis and treatment for adult and pediatric patients. The role involves operating ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functionality, and documenting procedures accurately. The sonographer may perform studies independently, including on-call, portable, and at various sites as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all imaging equipment is properly maintained and ready for use.
• Perform ultrasound examinations and document results thoroughly.
• Conduct studies independently and respond to work area needs, including portable and on-call exams.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Associate degree or equivalent trade school training.
• RDMS or equivalent certification; experience preferred but not required.
• Additional certifications such as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and RDCS are advantageous.
• Ideal candidates have up to two years of experience, with strong knowledge of ultrasound procedures.
