Job summary

CHI Health St. Mary’s is seeking a Sonographer to perform detailed ultrasound imaging, including obstetric fetal scans, and to explain procedures to patients. You will operate equipment, ensure patient safety, and present preliminary findings to physicians.

Excellent communication and meticulous technical skills are essential for accurate diagnostics. In this role you will work within a trusted healthcare team, following ALARA and radiation safety guidelines while delivering high-quality imaging

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in or graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Radiology program.
• Registered Sonographer or equivalent certification preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification required or within hire period.

Responsibilities

• Perform sonographic examinations of blood vessels, organs, tissues, and fetal imaging.
• Explain procedures to patients and prepare them for scans.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and optimize image quality.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Present preliminary findings to physicians.
