Job summary

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in, or graduate of, a Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Radiology program.
• On-the-job training with a registered sonographer.
• Basic Life Support - CPR certification required.
• Must obtain RDMS/RDCS certifications within 12 months of hire.
• Familiar with radiation safety and patient care standards.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to patients and prepare them for scans.
• Operate sonographic equipment and adjust settings for diagnostic images.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Select and review images, presenting preliminary findings to physicians.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and report issues as needed.
