Job summary

Southern New Hampshire Health System in Nashua, NH is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer for a per diem position in Radiology. The role covers OB, vascular, abdominal, and other ultrasound exams, with responsibilities including image quality, documentation, and collaboration with Radiologists.

The candidate will function in a patient-centered environment, uphold HIPAA, and support staff training while ensuring safety and accurate imaging while using RIS and PACS systems.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved ultrasound training program.
• ARDMS certified or eligible (must obtain within 1 year of hire).
• Licensed by the NH Board of Medical Imaging.
• Proficient with RIS and PACS systems.

Responsibilities

• Review patient medical history and reconcile physician orders.
• Complete required documentation prior to exams.
• Perform ultrasound exams per department protocols.
• Assist Radiologists with invasive procedures.
• Ensure image quality and proper documentation.
• Present images for interpretation and consult on findings.
• Uphold HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
• Safely move patients using appropriate equipment.
