Responsibilities

  • Operate ultrasound equipment with understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology.

Position Summary

Complete procedure and documentation of diagnostic images, based on provider order, for the Radiologist’s interpretation. Responsible for the care and comfort of patients during any diagnostic sonogram.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job:

  • Arrive at work station at designated start time, ready to begin work and support patient care.
  • Be a role model for all company policies, procedures and directives.
  • Interact in a positive and constructive manner.
  • Demonstrate proficiency of all duties within the Scope of Practice for licensure.
  • Implement orders and treatment plan components as directed by Provider(s).
  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures following established process for patient care and safety.
  • Perform ultrasound examination(s) and demonstrate technical knowledge of cross-sectional human anatomy, physiology, pathology, physical principals and instrumentation.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Qualifications

Qualifications/Work Experience:
  • 1+ years of experience in acute care setting is preferred.

  • Ability to learn non-imaging vascular exams.
Education/Licensure/Certification:
  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • Certificate of completion in the study of Diagnostic Medical Sonography withproof of ARDMScertification.

A current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) certification is required.
