Job summary

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is hiring a PRN Sonographer for our OB/GYN Clinic in Bolivar, Missouri. The role involves preparing patients, operating sonographic equipment, analyzing images, and collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care.

The candidate should have a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program background, RDMS preferred, and up to 1 year of ultrasound experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program
• RDMS certification preferred (Abdomen, OB/GYN, and RVT)
• 1 year of clinical ultrasound experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical training considered
• Certified by the American Registry of Medical Sonographers
• Prolonged standing, walking, stooping, bending required

Responsibilities

• Interviewing patients to gather medical history
• Explaining the ultrasound process
• Ensuring physical and emotional comfort for patients during exams
• Performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations appropriate to patients' ages and treatment plans
• Positioning patients during examinations to assure optimal imaging and re-imaging as necessary
• Documenting findings and ensuring images are properly recorded

• Hours:20 hours every 2 weeks

What Your Day Looks Like: You will be preparing patients for exams, operating sonographic equipment, analyzing images, and collaborating with other healthcare providers and team members to provide caring, individualized treatment to our patients.

As aSonographer, you will be:

• Interviewingpatients to gather medical history
• Explainingthe ultrasound process
• Ensuringphysical and emotional comfort for patients during exams
• Performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations appropriate to patients' ages and treatment plans
• Positioning patients during examinations to assure optimal imaging has been achieved;re-imagingas necessary
• Documenting findings and ensuringimages are properly recorded

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program -RDMS certification (Abdomen, OBGYN, and RVT) preferred
