Job summary

Novant Health in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Sonographer III to support physicians by preparing patients and operating ultrasound equipment to obtain diagnostic scans. The role requires an Associate degree and ARRT/CAAHEP program graduation, plus a minimum of three years of sonography experience.

The candidate must hold ARDMS certification in vascular and pediatric or obstetrics/gynecology specialties, plus relevant state licensure.

What We Offer

The Sonographer III assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the ultrasound equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans. The expertise of the Sonographer III must match the examination demographics of the hiring site.

What You'll Do

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Program or CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program, required.
• Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in sonography, required.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Certified and registered by ARDMS in three specialties. Vascular Technology is a required specialty. Pediatric Sonography or Obstetrics and Gynecology is a required specialty. Breast Sonography is excluded from one of the three required, required.
  • Vascular Technology – RT(S)(VS) or RDMS, RT(VS) or RDMS, RVT, VT, required. Pediatric Sonography – RDMS, PS or Obstetrics/Gynecology – RDMS, OB/GYN, required.
  • Pediatric Sonography – RDMS, PS or Obstetrics/Gynecology – RDMS, OB/GYN or Musculoskeletal Sonography; RDMS, RMSKS, MSKS, required.
  • Applicable state license, required.
