Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Sonographer I to join our acute care imaging team in the Charlotte region. The role involves preparing patients, operating ultrasound equipment, and assisting physicians to obtain diagnostic scans.

This PRN position offers exposure to advanced imaging and a collaborative clinical environment. Candidates should have an Associate Degree ( Radiography or Sonography), ARRT or ARDMS certification within 6 months of hire, and at least 1 year of sonography experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required or equivalent.
• ARRT (S) or ARDMS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum 1 year sonography experience.
• Licensure/certification in ARRT/ARDMS in one specialty required.
• Graduate of ARRT/CAAHEP recognized program.

What You’ll Do

The Sonographer assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the ultrasound equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography or Sonography Program; or CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program, required.
• Experience: Minimum of one years of experience in sonography, required.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS within 6 months of hire, required.
  • NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS, required.
  • NH Medical Group Office-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS, required.
