SGMC Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for the Dasher Heart Center in Valdosta. You will perform routine and specialized ultrasound imaging, including vascular studies, and assist physicians with interventional procedures in a fast-paced cardiovascular setting.
Responsibilities include preparing the scanning room and equipment, documenting procedures, and delivering compassionate patient care. Candidates must be ARRT or RDMS/ARDMS certified (or equivalent) and able to work flexible

Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift, Mon-Thurs 0730-1600; Fri 0730-1200
Performs a variety of duties in performing routine and special ultrasound imaging. Performs vascular and arterial studies in ultrasound imaging. Performs initial interpretation and evaluation of procedure. Maintains standards of quality. Assists the CV physicians in performing ultrasound-guided interventional procedures. Operates ultrasound equipment and prepares scanning room, equipment, supplies and medications. Provides patient services using imaging modalities.
Duties require considerable sitting, standing, stooping bending, lifting (in excess of 50 pounds), and pushing objects (wheelchairs, stretchers). Comfortable conditions, subject to irregular schedules, including weekends, exposed to high levels of stress. Work may require exposure to communicable diseases.
