WORK LOCATION: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231

WORK HOURS: PRN Days

Department Highlights

Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Graduate of an AMA-accredited Ultrasound Program preferred
  • Associate degree preferred
  • 2 years hospital radiology experience preferred
  • BCLS certification required prior to independent patient care and must be maintained quarterly
  • ARRT Sonography certification and one additional modality upon hire OR
  • ARDMS with two certifications upon hire OR
  • Other RVT or VT(RVS) as one modality if performing vascular sonography upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Perform imaging procedures, ensuring quality and proper processing
  • Explain procedures to patients or guardians prior to and during exams
  • Image the correct anatomical area and pathology according to protocols
  • Assist radiologists with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique
  • Process and analyze images, troubleshoot, and suggest differential diagnoses
  • Utilize proper downtime procedures for PACS and HIS/RIS
  • Send and transfer images correctly to PACS
