Job summary

Hospital Sisters Health System in Springfield, IL, seeks a sonography professional for Cardiology Imaging. The role is full-time with a 40-hour weekly schedule and a $20,000 sign-on bonus. The position emphasizes patient-centered care, QA coordination, and involvement in accreditation efforts.

Pay Range:

$34.21 - $51.31

A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.

Prepares and performs various sonography studies per protocol and as ordered per the provider. Processes studies to include preparation for interpretation by the physician and a preliminary test result. Provides patient care in accordance with the standards of care specific to age and the individuals' needs. Coordinates departments QA initiatives. Maintains required competencies. Develops departmental and/or community wide educational activities. Is responsible for facilitating the national accreditation process.

Education
  • Graduate of or currently enrolled in an allied health program is required.
  • Associates degree in allied health, applied science or completion of certificate/training program is preferred.
Experience
  • Experience in ultrasound/sonography preferred.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
  • Certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers (ARDMS) or a Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) is required.
  • OR must be eligible to sit for the RVT or RVS exam AND must obtain registry within 6 months of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
