St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL, part of Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS), seeks a qualified Cardiac Sonographer for imaging in the Cardiology department. This is a full-time, day-shift position with a $20,000 sign-on and comprehensive benefits.

The role requires an allied health degree or enrollment, with RDCS or RCS eligibility and BLS. Prior sonography experience is preferred. The successful candidate will join a dedicated imaging team serving communities across Illinois and

Pay Range: $35.92 - $53.88 A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.

Educational Qualifications

Graduate of, or currently enrolled in, an allied health program is required. Associates degree in allied health, applied science or completion of certificate program is preferred.

Experience Qualifications
  • Experience in sonography/ultrasound is preferred.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
  • Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers (ARDMS) OR a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) is required.
  • OR must be eligible to sit for the RDCS or RCS exam AND must obtain registry within 6 months of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
