Job summary

Methodist Hospital is seeking a Sonographer to join our Radiology team. You will perform high-quality ultrasound imaging and interact with patients, physicians, and staff to support accurate diagnoses.

The role requires ARDMS certification or eligibility, RDMS/RVT within 6 months of hire, and current CPR. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday day shift with patient-focused care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Medical Sonography or equivalent.
• Must be registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
• Registered in RDMS and RVT within 6 months of hire required.
• Must maintain current CPR skills.

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications:

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Medical Sonography or equivalent

Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

• Must be registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
• Registered in RDMS and RVT within 6 months of hire required.
• Must maintain current CPR skills.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must have a strong anatomy and physiology background.
• Ability to assess results, problem solve, and use independent judgment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
• Must have proven ability to operate the following safely and efficiently: Ultrasound equipment, Fax, Telephone, PC, Printer, and Photocopier.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

• Additional specialized training or at least one year of ultrasound experience preferred.
