Job summary

The Sonographer will perform a variety of ultrasound and vascular exams and assist with multiple interventional procedures at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY. Extensive knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and ultrasound physics is required; on-call duties may be assigned and workload can vary across locations.

We seek candidates with 1-2 years' experience, RDMS and/or RVT certification or eligibility, and strong communication with patients and team.

Qualifications

• Education: Completion of accredited school and/or currently registered.
• Experience: 1-2 years preferred but not required.
• Licensure: RDMS and/or RVT certified or RDMS/RVT eligible.
• Preferred: problem solving, attention to detail, communication, adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Operate and perform ultrasound and vascular exams.
• Assist with multiple interventional procedures.
• Follow ALARA radiation guidelines and ensure safety.
• Adhere to policies and protocols for exams and procedures.
• Maintain CPR certification and ongoing education.
