Sonographer, Diagnostic Cardiac, Hillsboro, Days, 20 hours

Job Summary

To provide diagnostic services in a hospital and/or clinical setting, including clerical duties. All duties should promote team concepts and reflect the KPNW Mission and philosophy.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic procedures appropriate for the patient's age, including routine, emergent, portable, and surgical examinations, following department policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with Cardiologists.
  • Assist patients with transportation as needed.
  • Perform data entry, file work, restock supplies, and conduct quality assurance functions.
  • Participate in on-call or standby schedules as required.
Experience and Education

Minimum two-year AMA-approved ultrasound program with certification, or two years of allied health training with ARDMS certification, or successful completion of an AMA-accredited ultrasound program with ARDMS or CCI registration. High school diploma or GED required.

Licenses, Certifications, and Additional Requirements
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer from CCI or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from ARDMS within 12 months of hire.
  • Sonography Technologist License (Oregon).
  • Basic Life Support certification within 1 month of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with TEE, Stress Echo, and Pediatric Echosonography.
  • Strong organizational, technical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and confidently perform exams.
