Job Summary
At HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital, we seek a Sonographer with ARDMS credentials (or Ultrasound Technologist) on a full‑time basis. Join our team to provide high‑quality, patient‑centered care in West Florida.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients and equipment safely and competently.
- Obtain and document a complete patient history related to the procedure, and procure informed consent per departmental policy.
- Maintain statistical results for quality improvement.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures within scope of practice, and with radiologists regarding any unusual clinical findings, history, or test results.
Qualifications
- Two‑year Associate Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- Valid ARDMS registry with RVT, AB, or OB/GYN specialty(ies).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 1–3 years previous experience as an Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer).
- Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer‑relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, computer (MEDITECH), and clerical skills.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
