Job summary

HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital in Port Charlotte, FL, seeks a Sonographer ARDMS to join our team on a full-time basis. You will perform ultrasound exams and document findings in collaboration with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses.

Ideal candidates hold a two-year degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, ARDMS registry, BLS, and 1–3 years of ultrasound experience with MEDITECH proficiency and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Two-year Associate Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography required.
• Valid ARDMS registry with RVT, AB or OB/GYN specialties.
• Current BLS certification required.
• 1–3 years experience as Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer).
• Strong organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and clerical skills; MEDITECH knowledge.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients and equipment safely and competently.
• Obtain and document complete patient history for the procedure and obtain informed consent.
• Maintain statistical results for quality improvement.
• Communicate findings with patients and radiologists per protocol.
