Job summary

Cardiovascular Institute of the South is seeking a skilled cardiovascular ultrasound professional to perform routine, advanced, invasive and interventional studies. You will operate ultrasonography equipment, review findings with physicians, and document results in the EMR while supporting efficient patient flow.

The role requires ARDMS/CCI registry, BLS, strong anatomy knowledge, and excellent teamwork and communication to ensure high-quality imaging and patient care.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular ultrasound, radiologic technology, cardiopulmonary, or related program with ultrasound training.
  • ARDMS or CCI registered (or registry‑eligible) in Vascular and Cardiac Ultrasound.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and normal vs. abnormal flow characteristics.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with physicians, staff, and patients.
  • Detail‑oriented with a commitment to accurate documentation and quality imaging.
  • Motivated to maintain continuing education and remain current in vascular technology.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine, advanced, invasive, non-invasive, and interventional cardiovascular ultrasound procedures independently.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasonographic equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images and blood flow data.
  • Work closely with physicians to review studies, clarify findings, and support accurate diagnoses.
  • Document studies thoroughly in the EMR and support patient flow.
  • Support clinic operations through scheduling assistance, training, and cross‑department staffing as needed.
  • Deliver accurate, high-quality cardiovascular and vascular ultrasound studies that support excellent patient care.

About the Role:

Perform routine, advanced, invasive, non-invasive, and interventional cardiovascular ultrasound procedures independently

What Makes You a Great Match:

Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular ultrasound, radiologic technology, cardiopulmonary, or related program with ultrasound training
