Job summary

Cardiovascular Institute South is seeking an experienced cardiovascular ultrasound technologist to perform a range of ultrasound studies. You will operate ultrasound equipment, generate high-quality images, and partner with physicians to review results and ensure accurate diagnoses.

You will document findings in the EMR, support patient flow, and assist with scheduling and cross-department staffing. A accredited program, ARDMS/CCI, and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular ultrasound, radiologic technology, cardiopulmonary, or related program with ultrasound training.
• ARDMS or CCI registered (or registry-eligible) in Vascular and Cardiac Ultrasound.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and normal vs. abnormal flow characteristics.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with physicians, staff, and patients.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accurate documentation and quality imaging.
• Motivated to maintain continuing education and remain current in vascular technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, advanced, invasive, non-invasive, and interventional cardiovascular ultrasound procedures independently.
• Operate and maintain ultrasonographic equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images and blood flow data.
• Work closely with physicians to review studies, clarify findings, and support accurate diagnoses.
• Document studies thoroughly in the EMR and support patient flow.
• Support clinic operations through scheduling assistance, training, and cross-department staffing as needed.

About the Role:
