Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital's Ultrasound Team is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to join a highly specialized department known for outstanding patient care. You will perform abdominal, small parts, obstetric ultrasound and assist with needle procedures as needed, with a focus on diagnostic imaging.

The role requires RVT registry within 1 year from hire date, and offers 10-hour shifts four days per week (Monday through Thursday) from 9:30 a.m.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or trade school equivalency in ultrasound or related field.
• RVT registry within 1 year from hire date is required.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures proper function and readiness of all ultrasound equipment.
• Performs ultrasound examinations and documents procedures.
• Performs studies independently and may be on-call or on-site at other sites as needed.

• Sign-On Bonus $5,000 (for eligible applicants)
• 10 Hour Shifts, 4 Days Per Week
• Monday thru Thursday
• 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• Call Rotation Required (4-5 days per month & every 6th weekend)
• Holiday Rotation Required (1 per year)

Overview

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience. The Department of Ultrasound at Barnes-Jewish West County is a highly specialized, full-service department which strives to meet all patient and clinician needs in diagnostic imaging and image-guided therapies.

Preferred Qualifications

The Registered Diagnostic Sonographer performs ultrasound imaging, including but not limited to abdominal, small parts, and obstetrical, to adult and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders, and assist with needle procedures (i.e., biopsies, drainages, needle placements, etc.). May also perform vascular imaging
