Job summary

Boart Longyear Ltd. Glendale, AZ is seeking a Sonic Mechanic to service, repair, and maintain the Sonic Drill Heads and support equipment.

The role involves hands-on workshop work with opportunities to travel to jobsites and train others as part of a team. The ideal candidate has hydraulic systems experience and knowledge of mud pumps, with the ability to diagnose issues, lift heavy components, and work safely in variable conditions.

Qualifications

• Hydraulic systems experience preferred.
• Knowledge of duplex and triplex mud pumps.
• Knowledge of failure analysis and root cause.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently.
• Pass a drug screen and a background check.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• MSHA/OSHA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and maintain Boart Longyear Sonic Drill Heads and support equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and perform quick turnarounds.
• Work mainly in the workshop with some travel to jobsites.
• Train and assist in developing leadership within the team.
