Job summary

Boart Longyear Ltd. Glendale, AZ is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to service, repair and maintain our drill rigs and support equipment both in the workshop and at job sites on a 14-on/7-off hitch.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with hydraulic and electric systems, diesel engines, and high-pressure air systems while leading small teams as needed. We require practical mechanical experience (minimum 2 years), willingness to travel, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of mechanic experience with electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Some welding and fabrication experience is recommended.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus and MSHA/OSHA is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and maintain Boart Longyear’s fleet of drill rigs and support equipment.
• Diagnose hydraulic and electrical issues; perform quick turnarounds to keep rigs operational.
• Travel to job sites for field maintenance and support field teams as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and collaborate with supervision, drillers and safety personnel.
