Ci Siamo, a Manhattan West in New York, is part of Union Square Hospitality Group and seeks a Sommelier to elevate our wine program and deliver memorable guest experiences.

You will collaborate with the Beverage Director, guide guests through wine and beverage selections, and educate the service team to grow wine knowledge, while maintaining a financially responsible program that supports the restaurant’s revenue goals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as a Sommelier or wine service role
• Strong knowledge in wine, spirits, beer, and N/A beverages
• English fluency and additional languages preferred, but not required
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time

Ci Siamo is a restaurant from Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group and James Beard semifinalist Chef Hillary Sterling. Located at Manhattan West, this NYT Top 100 restaurant celebrates the beauty of simplicity centering around live-fire cooking. The Italian-inflected menu takes inspiration from Chef Sterling’s extensive travels and is rooted in the understated excellence of seasonal ingredients and purposeful preparations. Ci Siamo, which loosely translates to “we’ve made it” or “we’ve arrived,” bridges the traditional with the contemporary to introduce a new space that is at once transportive yet warmly familiar.

Who you are:

An integral member of the restaurant’s Service team, the Sommelier is responsible for providing our guests with a memorable wine experience and ensuring the excellence and creativity of the beverage program. The Sommelier is trusted partner to fellow sommeliers, bartenders, and service staff and acts as an extension of the Beverage Director, aiding in service and operation of the wine and beverage program.
