Job summary

Park Hyatt Mexico City Polanco seeks an experienced Sommelier to lead an exceptional wine program reflecting ultra-luxury positioning. You will be a floor presence, serving as a trusted wine expert and delivering personalized recommendations with engaging storytelling and product knowledge.

With a strong background in luxury hospitality or fine dining, you will knowledge of international and Mexican wines, inventory control, and staff training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Sommelier or wine professional in luxury hospitality or fine dining.
• Strong knowledge of international and Mexican wines, including regions, producers, grape varieties, vintages and trends.
• Wine certifications such as CMS, WSET, ASI or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Luxury hotel and/or pre-opening experience is highly desirable.
• Experience with premium wines, wine service, cellar organization, inventory control and stock management.
• Strong guest engagement, storytelling and guided-selling skills.
• Passion for sharing wine knowledge and developing colleagues through tastings.

• Passion for sharing wine knowledge and developing colleagues through training and tastings.
• Commercial awareness with an understanding of wine cost, pricing, inventory, revenue generation, and profitability.
