360 Communities seeks a Cultural Navigator to build trusted relationships with East African families in Burnsville, MN, delivering resource navigation and outreach. This full-time onsite role focuses on Somali language support and collaboration with Scott County FRC locations in Shakopee and Savage.

Qualifications include 1-3 years of experience and a preferred Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience. Benefits cover health, dental, vision, and more as part of a comprehensive package.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years related experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred, but experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
• Experience with socially, economically or culturally diverse populations.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrate commitment to 360 Communities’ mission and core values.
• Follow mandated reporting laws for child abuse and neglect.
• Build trusted relationships with families, Scott County staff and partners to meet needs at the FRC locations.
• Provide resource navigation and connect families to culturally-appropriate services (housing, financial assistance, education, employment, etc.).
• Provide language translation/access services to East African families accessing the FRC.
• Assist families by completing forms for school, healthcare, housing, jobs, etc.
• Ensure seamless referral communication with other Scott County FRC programs.
• Identify service barriers and help families build social connections.
• Collect data and maintain records for reporting and funding purposes.
• Participate in community events and outreach strategies to promote FRC programs.
• Attend 360 Communities team meetings, trainings and events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
