Job summary

Sims Limited, a global leader in metal recycling, seeks a Solutions Process Operator to extract precious metals from materials, maintain safety standards, and support continuous improvement. The role involves operating equipment, handling chemicals, and coordinating with leads to ensure smooth production.

The position requires warehouse and heavy industrial experience, basic maintenance knowledge, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Training and safety are emphasized throughout the role.

Qualifications

• Relevant high school qualifications or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 6.
• 1 year of experience in warehouse environment.
• 2 years of experience in heavy industrial environment, preferred.
• Some experience with basic machine maintenance processes, preferred.
• 2 years of experience in the plating field, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Safety, Health, and Environmental policies, procedures, and initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.
• Transfer spent solutions to evaporators and plate-out evaporated solutions per procedures.
• Monitor chemical inventory levels and communicate need for re-supply.
• Inspect equipment for defects and perform routine maintenance as required.
• Provide guidance to others and assist with on-the-job training.
• Report accidents or incidents immediately and complete required forms; report production issues to Lead/Supervisor.
• Operate two machines simultaneously when required and assist with monthly inventory.
• Work to improve quality and efficiency and use tracking systems for material records.
