Job summary

Formance is hiring a Solutions Engineer in New York, NY. You will design money flows and map customer needs to a programmable ledger, working closely with the NYC sales team to conduct technical discovery and architecture sessions.

You will build proofs of concept, answer complex engineering questions, and help customers evaluate Formance within their existing infrastructure. Hybrid onsite schedule in SoHo with equity and benefits.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering or solutions engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of money tracking in software and ledger concepts.
• Familiarity with real payment flows including settlement delays and mismatches.
• Hands-on API, database and at least one programming language experience.
• Confidence in engaging with senior technical buyers and articulating architecture.
• Ability to explain complex systems to engineers, finance, and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Design money flows and map products to ledger models and account structures.
• Lead technical discovery sessions with CTOs and engineering leaders.
• Build proofs of concept and explain architectural trade-offs and guarantees.
• Collaborate with sales to support technical evaluations and architecture discussions.
• Support production handover with engineering and customer context.
• Translate customer patterns into product feedback and docs.
