Job summary

Akamai is looking for a Solutions Engineer (Cybersecurity & Cloud) to join our Presales Team in Sweden, with Stockholm-based remote options. You will shape customer outcomes by designing fit-for-purpose cloud and security solutions across Akamai's platform, acting as a trusted advisor in complex enterprise accounts.

In this role you will lead end-to-end pre-sales, craft compelling demonstrations, collaborate with sales and leadership, and share expertise through technical content and industry

Qualifications

• Background in technical pre-sales engineering, technical consulting, or customer-facing architect roles supporting enterprise accounts.
• Solid grasp of internet architectures, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, routing, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with WAF, DDoS protection, Bot Management, and Zero Trust/remote access architectures.
• Ability to explain complex network and security transformations to developers and C-level executives.
• Professional fluency in Swedish and English.

Responsibilities

• Drive Pre-Sales Innovation: Own the end-to-end technical pre-sales process, creating new opportunities by demonstrating how Akamai's technology solves real business problems.
• Architect and execute high-impact product demos, Customer Analysis Reports, and Proof of Concept (POC) trials.
• Partner with sales and customer executive leadership to align customer initiatives with Akamai's platform capabilities.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to become a Subject Matter Expert, sharing insights through technical content, community engagement, and industry events.
• Delivering Accurate Architectures: Manage technical proposals, ensuring optimal recommendations for complex web, security, and cloud deployment workflows.
