Job summary

OAG is seeking a Solutions Engineer for the Americas to deliver pre-sales support and partner with sales teams. This role demands strong technical knowledge and the ability to address customer needs while providing tailored product demonstrations. You will work across North, Central, and South America to understand and meet clients' requirements, enhancing their engagement with OAG’s data solutions.

Qualifications

  • Mid-Senior level position requiring experience in technical pre-sales.
  • Exposure to REST APIs, Snowflake, or cloud data platforms is desirable.
  • A strong understanding of the Americas market landscape is ideal.

SUMMARY:

The Solutions Engineer, Americas combines technical expertise with commercial acumen to deliver pre-sales support across North, Central, and South America (including the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and key Latin American markets). You will partner closely with Sales to identify customer data use cases and product needs, deliver compelling demos, and transition each deal ensuring a seamless customer journey.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Technical Knowledge:

  • Build a deep understanding of our products and services, focusing on how they apply across markets in the Americas.
  • Stay informed about regional industry trends and competitors, especially within aviation and travel data.
  • Collaborate with regional sales leads to scope and shape technical solutions that address customer pain points.
  • Deliver tailored product demos and presentations for a variety of client personas, from analysts to executives.
  • Respond to technical questions and support proposal development throughout the sales process.
  • Assist with onboarding new customers as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships by aligning our technical capabilities with each customer’s strategic objectives.
  • Engage directly with customer teams — including in-person where needed — to understand their environments and identify opportunities.
  • Explore and support requests for custom features or integrations.

Proposal Development:

  • Support the development of technical proposals and documentation that clearly articulate product value and fit for customer needs.
  • Ensure materials meet both functional requirements and local expectations across the Americas region.
  • Share customer feedback with product, marketing, and support teams to inform roadmap and positioning.
  • Work closely with sales to continuously refine our go-to-market strategy for different regional markets.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with the global Solutions Engineering team.

Training and Enablement:

  • Help train internal sales teams on the technical capabilities and value of our solutions — with a focus on
  • local market relevance.
  • Provide post-sale technical support and onboarding when required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Excellent communications skills, ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to non-technical audiences succinctly and simply.
  • Data driven decision making and mindset.
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and conflicting priorities.
  • Strong understanding of the Americas market landscape, ideally with experience across multiple countries or subregions.
  • Basic familiarity with data handling and analytics (SQL, Python, Excel) is a plus.
  • Exposure to REST APIs, Snowflake, or other cloud data platforms is desirable.
  • Ability to partner with Account Executives to craft and deliver tailored technical solutions that align to customer business outcomes.
  • Willingness to travel within the Americas region ~20%
  • Comfortable designing, building, and delivering engaging product demonstrations and proof-of-concepts.
  • Previous experience in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or customer-facing technical roles.
  • Spanish fluency is a strong bonus but not required. Portuguese is a major plus.
  • Proven success in a Solutions Engineering or presales role within a SaaS/DaaS environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience.
