Job summary

Algolia is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join the go-to-market team. This role leads the technical pre-sales relationship, demonstrates the product, and crafts creative, consultative solutions with Account Executives to win opportunities.

You will translate complex technical concepts for CTOs and developers, build prototypes with the API, and help customers be more successful with Algolia, contributing to cross‑company initiatives and thought leadership.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a customer‑facing technical role (SE, SA, consultant, PM), ideally in the SaaS space.
• Experience with front-end: JavaScript, TypeScript, React.
• Experience with back-end: Java, Ruby, Go, Node, Python, Swift/Objective‑C.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple customers.
• Experience at a high-growth company with ARR in the $150–300M range.

Responsibilities

• Work with Sales Teams and prospects on their evaluation and adoption of Algolia solutions.
• Understand customer goals and how Algolia’s solution can address those needs.
• Assist in the Sales process including technical discovery, demo, Proof of Concept (POC), RFP responses.
• Leverage the tools, frameworks, and partners of the Algolia ecosystem to validate technical and functional fit.
• Distill and advocate customer interests, needs and product feedback in order to relay to Product and Engineering teams
• Continuously learn and update skills and keep aware of industry trends in the Search and Discovery space, and contribute to thought leadership to make Algolia more accessible to the world
• Work with the Solution Architects and Customer Success teams on seamless transition to the post sales process in order to ensure highly successful onboarding
