Job Responsibilities:
- Program on specific application subsets within the company's application portfolio, participating in all phases of the development and maintenance lifecycle, typically for an assigned business unit or department, using various customer technology platforms.
- Maintain active relationships with customers to determine business requirements, lead requirements gathering meetings, and review designs with the business.
- Collaborate with Web and marketing teams to enhance the presence of web products.
- Own the change request process and coordinate with relevant teams.
- Develop and manage a list of final enhancements.
- Define application scope and objectives; supervise the preparation of technical and functional specifications for programming.
- Conduct technical and code reviews.
- Ensure completion of unit testing, system testing, and proper system implementation.
- Deliver application technology solutions and oversee data information planning efforts.
- Coordinate and manage on-call support; oversee system monitoring.
- Manage the technical development environment within the Enterprise team.
- Lead multiple or large projects and facilitate large group JAD sessions for requirements gathering and modeling.
- Lead vendor evaluation and analysis.
- Require a BA/BS degree or technical training, with 7+ years of related experience, multi-platform expertise, and advanced knowledge of business and technical applications.
- Mentor others and provide troubleshooting support.
- Prefer experience with multiple databases and languages.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Over 5 years designing, developing, testing, and implementing enterprise ETL solutions, process automation, and orchestration.
- Proficiency with cloud data platforms, especially AWS data pipeline tools.
- Expertise in data process orchestration, near-real-time and batch pipelines.
- Skilled in Python, Scala, SQL, R, T-SQL.
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize SQL queries.
- Experience with data processing resource monitoring and proactive alerting.
- Relevant certifications in data engineering/development.
- Experience in healthcare claims processing, understanding data security and privacy.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable cloud data pipelines using AWS tools like AWS Glue.
- Create and maintain data models for efficient querying and reporting.
- Integrate data from various sources for comprehensive analysis.
- Develop dashboards and reports in Power BI for data insights.
- Optimize ETL processes and Power BI reports for performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet data requirements.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, Scala.
- Build data visualizations to highlight trends and outliers.
- Monitor and improve data pipelines and visualizations.
- Provide project updates and conduct data quality reviews.
- Ensure secure and efficient data processing and storage.
Work Schedule and Location:
Standard hours (Mon-Fri, 40 hours/week) within EST timeframes (7am-6pm). Remote role as a temporary worker; potential hybrid schedule if converted, requiring proximity within 50 miles of specified locations in Indianapolis, IN; Denison, TX; Baltimore, MD; Harrisburg, PA; Syracuse, NY; Portland, ME; Hingham, MA.
