About The Role

A Solutions Engineer at Auctane is an experienced operational and technical sales professional who works with clients on-site to identify needs and develop customized business solutions using Auctane's products and services, with a strong understanding of the small parcel shipping industry. They collaborate closely with the sales team to understand the client's business, logistics, and IT environment, designing and presenting solutions that meet those needs. They also play a key role in pre-sales and implementation, providing operational and technical support and answering client queries.

Solutions Engineers are vital for the success of logistics and technology companies. They serve as the bridge between sales and product teams, ensuring clients have the best experience with the company's offerings. They are experts in solutions tied directly to Auctane's products and services, as well as those of partners, understanding their monetization impact.

Location

This is a remote position in the eastern U.S. region. Ideal candidates are located in Philadelphia, PA, Arlington, VA metro area, D.C., or Baltimore, MD.

Base salary for PA, DC, MD, VA applicants: $100K + 25% variable commission.

Travel Requirements

Up to 75% travel in the field.

Responsibilities
  1. Serve as the primary logistics, operational, and technical sales contact during pre-sale engagement and implementation.
  2. Develop logistical, operational, and technical solutions for internal and client needs.
  3. Leverage the "ShipMatch" process to match clients to suitable technology and carriers.
  4. Build and deliver customized analyses and proposals to accelerate client adoption of Auctane solutions.
  5. Demonstrate mastery of Auctane and partner technology solutions.
  6. Articulate key value propositions clearly in writing and verbally.
  7. Deliver tailored product demonstrations.
  8. Analyze and present shipping data to meet client needs.
  9. Maintain deep understanding of carrier and technology solutions.
  10. Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams on platform updates.
  11. Document successes and challenges related to Auctane products.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience (preferred).
  • 3+ years of technical selling experience (preferred).
  • 3+ years of shipping/eCommerce industry experience (preferred).
  • API and application development skills (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (preferred).
