Job summary

Maersk seeks a Solutions Design Engineer in the United States to drive front-end concepting from data analysis through facility layout, costing, and presentations for new and existing clients.

The role focuses on concept development, CAD modeling, and ROI studies, delivering layouts, estimates, and proposal content as part of the Engineering Design Team. Collaboration with clients and vendors is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering required.
• 3–5 years in warehousing and distribution; automation experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and AutoCAD.
• Strong written, oral and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze order, inventory, and SKU data to support layout and solution design.
• Provide productivity, capacity, and space estimates for RFPs.
• Own front-end concepting from layout development to high-level modeling.
• Create presentations to support engineering recommendations and customer proposals.
• Conduct feasibility studies to determine ROI on proposed solutions.
• Participate in customer presentations and proposal reviews.
• Collaborate with operations, integrators, vendors and internal teams.
• Support RFP responses with scope, assumptions, and technical content.
• Develop facility and automation concepts using CAD and modeling tools.
