Solutions Consultant, Emerging Verticals

Solutions Consultants are responsible for articulating and demonstrating how Numerator solutions provide visibility, insights, efficiencies, and financial value across industries such as general merchandise, durables, restaurants, consumer packaged goods, retailers, and consulting firms. This includes understanding business requirements, proposing optimal solutions, handling objections, demonstrating real-world use cases, and estimating the business value of partnering with Numerator. The Solutions Consultant will leverage industry experience to solve complex business issues and build credibility with prospective clients. Ultimately, they work with Sales Directors to convert prospects into customers and maintain relationships with existing clients, staying informed on industry trends and solutions.

What You'll Do:

The Solutions Consultant’s primary functions related to Numerator’s Insights solutions include:

  1. Presenting and demonstrating Numerator panel solutions tailored to client needs in general merchandise, durables, or restaurant sectors, and developing project scopes and demos.
  2. Identifying customer business questions and solution needs, and positioning Numerator to deliver value.
  3. Delivering impactful presentations to diverse audiences, including C-level executives.
  4. Building the business case for Numerator partnerships by estimating relevant value and efficiency gains.
  5. Becoming a trusted advisor to Sales Directors.
  6. Establishing strong internal cross-functional relationships.
  7. Supporting proposal development to address customer questions.
  8. Collaborating with strategic customers and leadership to identify new solutions and capabilities.
  9. Maintaining deep product and data knowledge to provide technical guidance during pre-sales.
  10. Sharing insights with Product Management.
  11. Partnering with data and other teams to resolve issues and communicate effectively with Sales Directors.
  12. Representing Numerator solutions at marketing webinars, conferences, and industry events.
  13. Traveling as needed to support responsibilities.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher (Master’s preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in CPG, retail, or related fields with a successful track record in business analytics and insights.
  • Understanding of syndicated and household panel data (e.g., NielsenIQ, Circana, Yipit, NPD).
  • Strategic thinking about client issues and research design.
  • Comfort facilitating sessions with internal and client teams.
  • Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset to thrive in a growth environment.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and proactively solving business needs.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality results under pressure.
  • Collaborative work style in dispersed teams.
  • Curiosity and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Positive, solutions-oriented attitude.

  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint or similar tools.
