Qualifications

• Deep understanding of insurance distribution channels (P&C), agency hierarchies, commission rules and vesting.
• Proficiency in Java 17 and Spring Boot.

Job Title: Solutions Architect - P&C (Java, Spring Boot)

Position Overview Few architecture roles sit where precision financial logic meets the business of insurance distribution. In this role you will design, scale and govern enterprise systems that manage the full lifecycle of insurance producers, agents, brokers and agencies. That covers onboarding, licensing, appointment tracking, hierarchy management and complex incentive compensation calculation engines. You will bridge business compensation strategy with scalable technical execution, ensuring accurate financial calculations, strong data security and smooth integration with core insurance administration systems.

What You'll Do / Key Responsibilities

• Design, scale and govern enterprise systems that manage the lifecycle of insurance producers, agents, brokers and agencies
• Architect solutions for onboarding, licensing, appointment tracking and hierarchy management
• Architect complex incentive compensation calculation engines
• Ensure high precision in financial calculations and robust data security
• Integrate solutions seamlessly with core insurance administration systems
• Bridge business compensation strategies with scalable technical execution
• Translate complex financial and regulatory logic into clean technical constraints
• Guide multi-disciplinary engineering teams through complex enterprise releases

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years in software engineering and enterprise architecture
• 5+ years specializing in insurance domain solutions, producer/commission management systems (e.g., incentive compensation management) or financial distribution platforms
• Deep understanding of insurance distribution channels (P&C), agency hierarchies, commission split rules, vesting schedules and carrier appointment processes
• Proficiency in modern backend technologies (Java 17, Spring Boot)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and enterprise relational databases
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills
• Experience guiding multi-disciplinary engineering teams through complex enterprise releases
