Job description

As a Senior Solutions Architect at Lineal Services, you serve as the strategic and technical authority responsible for designing, architecting, and delivering complex, high-impact eDiscovery solutions for enterprise clients. You operate as a senior consultative partner, translating multifaceted legal, regulatory, and technical challenges into scalable, defensible, and efficient solutions.

This role extends beyond day-to-day task execution and advanced problem solving. The Sr. Solutions Architect leads solution design across the full eDiscovery lifecycle, ensures optimal platform utilization—particularly within Relativity—and drives innovation, automation, and differentiation within the marketplace. You are a trusted advisor to both internal and client stakeholders, influencing strategy, architecture decisions, and operational best practices.

You are expected to maintain deep technical mastery of Relativity (including advanced workflows, analytics, performance optimization, and integrations), while mentoring delivery teams and elevating solution quality across the organization.

Responsibilities
Strategic Client Leadership
  • Serve as the senior technical advisor for complex and enterprise-level client engagements.
  • Lead discovery sessions to assess client challenges, regulatory requirements, data complexities, and risk profiles.
  • Architect end-to-end eDiscovery solutions aligned to defensibility, scalability, cost efficiency, and timeline constraints.
  • Translate business and legal requirements into technical workflows and platform configurations.
  • Present solution strategies, architectural recommendations, and risk assessments to executive-level client stakeholders.
Solution Architecture & Platform Mastery (Relativity-Focused)
  • Design and oversee custom/advanced Relativity implementations, including:
  • Workspace architecture and optimization
  • Analytics workflows (TAR, Active Learning, clustering, threading)
  • Data processing and ingestion strategies
  • Performance tuning and environment optimization
  • Integration with external systems and data sources
  • Develop reusable solution frameworks and best practices to improve consistency and scalability.
  • Guide data strategy decisions including culling methodologies, search design, privilege workflows, production specifications, and quality control frameworks.
  • Evaluate and implement automation, scripting, and advanced tooling to improve delivery efficiency.
Complex Problem Solving
  • Resolution of high-risk, technically complex, or escalated client issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement systemic improvements.
  • Provide architectural oversight for multi-jurisdictional, cross-border, or regulatory-driven matters.
  • Anticipate downstream impacts of workflow decisions and proactively mitigate risk.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner with CX and Shared Services Leads, Forensics, Data Review, and Technology teams to align architectural decisions with operational execution.
  • Provide architectural oversight for advanced workflows to ensure alignment with best practices.
  • Mentor senior analysts and managers on advanced Relativity functionality and solution design principles.
  • Collaborate with team managers on knowledge transfer and capability development across the fulfillment organization.
  • Align solution architecture to budget expectations while preserving defensibility and performance.
  • Identify opportunities for workflow optimization and margin improvement.
  • Contribute to strategic differentiators that position Lineal as a consultative, solutions-driven partner rather than a transactional vendor.
  • Stay current on emerging trends in eDiscovery technology, AI-assisted review, data privacy regulations, and litigation workflows.
  • Lead internal initiatives to improve process design, automation, and technology utilization.
  • Assist in evaluating new tools, integrations, and platform enhancements.
  • Drive strategic, consultative engagement rather than task-based execution.
  • Demonstrate deep expertise in Relativity architecture, analytics, and performance optimization.
  • Deliver defensible, scalable, and efficient solutions to complex client challenges.
  • Communicate architectural strategy clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Elevate organizational standards through mentorship and thought leadership.
  • Maintain executive presence and professionalism in high-stakes environments.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in eDiscovery, including significant client-facing experience.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience architecting and delivering solutions in Relativity.
  • Demonstrated mastery of Relativity analytics, data workflows, and environment optimization.
  • Experience leading complex, multi-workstream matters.
  • Strong understanding of defensibility standards and litigation support best practices.
  • Proven ability to design scalable workflows that balance performance, cost, and risk.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Executive-level written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Qualifications
  • Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) or Relativity Certified Master (RCM).
  • Experience with Nuix, Reveal and complementary eDiscovery platforms.
  • Experience designing AI-assisted workflows.
  • Experience leading technical teams or mentoring senior technical analysts.
  • Experience with cloud-based eDiscovery environments and integrations.
