Job summary

Euro Staffs is seeking a Solutions Architect to turn business problems into designs that engineering teams can build. You’ll sit between business stakeholders and technical teams, gathering requirements, shaping the architecture, and ensuring delivery matches promises.

This hands-on role involves diagrams, proof-of-concepts, and ongoing involvement through delivery, not just documentation. You'll mentor engineers and influence architecture decisions across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or solution architecture.
• Production experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong grasp of distributed systems: APIs, messaging, databases, caching, and integration patterns.
• Hands-on technical depth; ability to read code, challenge assumptions, and prototype when needed.
• Experience producing architecture documentation, diagrams, and estimates that teams deliver against.
• Excellent communication skills; comfortable presenting design decisions to executives and engineers alike.

Responsibilities

It’s a hands-on role where you’ll draw the diagrams, run the proof of concepts, and stay involved through delivery rather than handing off a slide deck and walking away.

You’ll be the person the team asks when a design decision has tradeoffs and someone needs to make the call.

Mandatory Qualifications

• 3 - 5 years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or solution architecture
• Production experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Strong grasp of distributed systems: APIs, messaging, databases, caching, and integration patterns
• Hands-on technical depth, you can read code, question assumptions, and prototype when needed

• Ability to pass a background check

Preferred qualifications

• Cloud certification such as AWS Solutions Architect - Associate/Professional or Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Experience with containerization and infrastructure as code (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform)
• Familiarity with data platforms, event streaming, or analytics architectures
• Exposure to security architecture and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA)
• Prior experience in energy, healthcare, financial services, or another regulated industry
• Consulting or pre-sales architecture experience

Salary and Benefits

• Salary: $125,000 - $135,000 per year, based on experience, plus performance bonus
